Dan aku juga yang akan termenung sedih, kalaulah tiba tiba ditakdirkan pesakit menangis in the middle of the session.
Dan untuk bidang aku, when it comes to pediatric case, they're literally the boss of the session. If they have poor attention, you're the one who need to be faster. If they're easily to get boring, you're the one who need to be creative. If they're afraid of stranger, you're the one who need to be on-the-spot family. If they're scare of the machines, you're the one who need to make it as enjoyable as possible. If they're crying, you have the possibility to be a clown just to create a smile.
And yeah, I did! I always did!
In this world, I can say it falls into two categories of health workers.
1. People who enjoys what they're doing and they're happier to have it more. Or,
2. People that have been forced to, therefore they struggle every single day.
If you not fall either of these two, just consider yourself as a plain boring worker.
Back to the topic.
Apakah?
Bayangkan kanak-kanak kecil. They can't hear but they can't tell! They have thing to complain, but how will we know? How? The only way left is OBSERVE.
They maybe a cry baby since born. But out of sudden, they cry more than it supposes to. Or, they start to be a loner hmmm.. something wrong may had happened. So see the CHANGING.
This is the best part or I would say the easiest part. Kids at two years old should be able to point at their body parts when asked but your patient can't. Or she should speak at 2-3 word phrases but your patient still babbling? COMPAREkan dengan range normal, and if significant, rule out any possibilities!
I repeat, pediatric is NOT EASY! And as adult afraid of strangers, they are also but double in amount. Or perhaps, triple! Build rapport, build rapport, build rapport, build rapport! When they are COMFORTable enough with you, only then you can work! Hey, they're human too. They want to be trusted and to trust!
And last but not least, do it with your heart. Kids are not looking at your beauty or handsome face. They're looking more than that. Your sincereness when with them. Your pure heart during the session is the most beautiful picture of you and that's what they're looking for. It's LOVE.
And LOVE creates TRUST! Trust that can help you to obtain the result. So they will help you to help them.
Remember these. Help pediatric case with;
1. Knowledge
2. Observe
3. Change
4. Compare
5. Cormfort
6. Love
7. Trust
